A Little Down in Your Spirit?

Hello All!

So right now, I'm feeling a little down. I am feeling like I am not up to par with where I should be. I am feeling unorganized and out of sorts. (Mind you, I realize that this isnt my normal kind of enry but I somehow felt the need to come this way today, so bear with me.) In the midst of my feeling this way, I am wondering what lesson I am supposed to learn from this.

Well, I am always disappointed in myself when I let life TEMPORARILY get the better of me but let me say this: Its ok to feel bad sometimes. Being human means we are not always gonna be happy and upbeat, its just a fact. But it is in times like this that we must go into a deep mode of thought. While in this mode, we need to not only figure out the problem but the answer to it. We must also think about GOD and His word. In these times we need to fall on the promises of God. He has promised "never to leave or forsake us". He has also promised to be "an ever-present help in our time of need." David said in Psalms 23 that, " The Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want." I could go on and on but the bottom line is, no matter where we are in life, our God is there too. Whether its your fault or somebody else's God is there and unlike people, God doesnt leave our side when we mess up or get in messed up predictaments. He is there and will always be there.

So if this blog entry has found you in this state of mind today, please reflect on what I have said and be thankful. Why? Because we can do and overcome anything because of our ever-present God!!!

Be Blessed!!

Important For Anyone with a Vison!!!

"Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it

For the visionis yet for an
appointed time:
But at the end it will speak, and
it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.

Have You Forgotten?

I love listening to other ladies talk. As strange as it sounds, I love when a bunch of ladies sit around and vent. Believe it or not, it is a sort of therapy to just..........get it all out. You would also be suprised at what we learn from each other when we just.........talk.

It was during one of these times, that I heard a very driven young woman talk about why she stopped doing hair. You see, doing hair is her absolute passion. She usually cant speak a single sentence without bringing up something concerning hair. As talented as she is, she said that she will "no longer be a hairdresser". When asked why, her first answer was that it was too stressful, then she said her money was never steady. I knew that if she kept talking she would give us the real reason, which..........she did. "Ya'll, lately nothing has gone right. People have been complaining, new things are coming out everyday, my confidence is off, I just cant do it anymore!"She was overwhelmed! Circumstances rattled her confidence and she allowed her dip in her confidence to take her eyes off of her vision and down to her problems.

This scenario reminds me of the bible story where Peter attemted to walk on water to Jesus ( Matthew 14:24-33). His vision was to walk on water to Jesus but as he walked, he lost focus on his vision and began to focus on the winds and the storms. As he lost his focus, he began to sink! But my favorite part of the story is the fact that Peter wasnt afraid to yell out "Lord, save me!" The very moment Peter yelled for Christ, was the very moment Christ saved him from drowning! The whole act was of faith to begin with! The very act of walking on water was unheard of! But Peter's faith and fixation on Jesus made it possible! As long as his eye was focused on Jesus he walked but the very moment a distraction came, he lost focus! Jesus made everything possible from the time he stepped out of the boat but he breifly "forgot".

Have you forgotten? Have stressful times taken your focus? A dip in sales? No previous successes? Somebody told you you couldnt or that you were not worthy? Has your self-esteem taken a beating? Please. Dont for get where you are going and who is getting you there! And dont be afraid to YELL out for help!! He is waiting to help you!! He is waiting to pull you up and out and calm your storm.

This is 2010 yall! The Lord didnt bring us this far to leave us now!! We can have it becuase God told us it is ours!!! Don't let any body's mouth, fear, low self- esteem, lack of money, ..........Don't let any of these things stop you this year! Yell out to your Saviour to help you and He will!

To the best year yet!!!!
